What’s in a name? A lot! After a lot of careful deliberation, we have some exciting news to share with you: we’re reclaiming the grammatically accurate space in our name and we’re changing our name to Peace Lily!
We know, we know - change can be scary. But fear not! This change will not affect the quality of our products or the level of service you've come to expect from us. In fact, we believe this new name better reflects the essence of our brand and the values we hold dear.
A few years ago, as we first went overseas and introduced our products to New Zealand, we made the choice to change our name from Fern to Peacelily. It was for practical reasons (Fern was already claimed and over-saturated in fern-filled NZ), and from a firm belief that the name Peacelily better reflected our values and products than Fern did. Well, now, we’re ready for change yet again. So why the change?
Well, peace lilies are famed for their air-purifying properties, as they can filter out many harmful toxins (including formaldehyde, benzene, ethylene, and ammonia), and add humidity to the air. If placed in a bedroom, they can improve health and sleep.
Grammar fiends may go red faced at the lack of a space between ‘Peace’ and ‘Lily’ in our current name, and some customers have struggled to find us online. As a company that values peace and serenity, we felt that the new name more accurately represents the calming, restful experience we strive to provide with our products. And let's be real - "Peace Lily" just rolls off the tongue a bit more smoothly.
While we will always be grateful for the ground we’ve covered under our current name, we believe this change will better suit our company vision moving forward. Our dedication to our values, customers, the earth, fair pricing, and our products remains unchanged. You can also rest assured that all warranties, orders, and agreements remain unchanged as we transition to our (slightly) new name. All that's changing is the name on the label!
