The Bed Base Built For a Latex Mattress

The frame supports any mattress, but it was measured around ours. Latex is dense and it holds warmth. Put it on a solid platform and moisture gathers underneath, which is how mould and dust mites start. Space the slats too far apart and it sags between them.

The Peace Lily mattress warranty asks for solid slats between 7cm and 9cm wide, gaps no wider than 9cm, and a base at least 19cm off the floor.

The Peace Lily Latex Mattress and Peace Lily Hybrid Mattress are the perfect options to partner with the bed base. Both of these are complementary to each other, and utilise non-toxic materials which will help you to enjoy a healthier sleep.

The frame arrives flat-packed with all tools and hardware supplied (Allen key and wrench). The instructions run in plain steps, but the frame is heavy, so plan on two people to assemble it safely.

We strongly recommend against doing this as it can have a negative impact on the breathability of your mattress. Mattress breathability is important in general, especially with our natural Latex Mattress, so we designed the timber bed frame with this in mind. Objects placed underneath the bed frame and mattress can block air circulation to the mattress, which can have an impact on its longevity. This can attract dust mites and mould, and can also lead to dust accumulation that can impact those with allergies or respiratory issues.

All tools and hardware are supplied (Allen key and wrench), so you don't need anything extra.

By following the instruction manual, assembly is straightforward. Please note that due to the bed's weight, it requires two people to safely assemble.

That's entirely your choice. We know a headboard usually comes down to personal preference, which is why the Timber Bed Frame is available both with and without one — simply select the option you prefer when choosing your frame on this page. The headboard is also fully detachable, so the look of your bed is never locked in: attach it for a classic statement look, or leave it off for a clean, minimalist style.
