What 'Natural' Actually Means (And What It Doesn't)
The word "natural" has no legal definition in Australia. Any brand can use it.
Contains natural latex" can mean 20% natural, 80% synthetic. "Organic" on a label doesn't mean the product is GOTS certified. "Eco-friendly" is a feeling, not a standard.
A genuinely natural mattress means every material in it is independently certified — the latex, the cotton, the manufacturing process, and the supply chain behind it.

Our Certifications Explained
Regenagri — going beyond organic
Regenagri is a global certification for regenerative agriculture — farming practices that actively restore soil health, increase biodiversity and sequester carbon. It's stricter than organic.
Our latex comes from Hevea brasiliensis rubber trees grown on Regenagri-certified farms in Sri Lanka. Tapping latex doesn't kill the tree. Each tree sequesters carbon for decades. And with regenerative practices in place, the land around the plantation improves over time.
RLS — Regenerative Latex Standard
Peace Lily is the world's only 100% Regenerative Latex mattress brand. The RLS certification covers the entire latex supply chain — from the rubber tree, through processing, to the finished mattress. It certifies that no synthetic additives, no coagulation-preventing chemicals, and no shortcuts exist in the process.
Most latex manufacturers add preservatives during processing to extend shelf life and prevent coagulation. These reduce purity. We don't. Our facility sits near our rubber farms, so latex is processed quickly, at source, with no need for additives.
GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard
The fabric covering your mattress matters. GOTS is the world's leading standard for organic textiles — it covers the fibre, the dyes, and the processing. Our mattress covers use GOTS-certified organic cotton.
Asthma Australia endorsed
The Asthma Australia Sensitive Choice program independently assesses products for respiratory safety. No VOCs, no off-gassing, no chemical residues. This endorsement matters especially for people with allergies, asthma or chemical sensitivities — and for babies.
Carbon neutral operations
Our manufacturing and logistics operations are certified carbon neutral. Buying a Peace Lily mattress doesn't leave a carbon debt.
Why Our Latex Is Genuinely Different
Latex purity varies enormously between brands, and most brands don't disclose it.
Natural latex is made from the sap of Hevea brasiliensis rubber trees. To process it into foam, manufacturers typically add chemicals to prevent the latex from coagulating during transport and storage. The further the latex travels from the farm, the more additives it needs.
Peace Lily's supply chain is different:
